I am delighted to see Mai Dhai gracing Spotify’s billboard in Times Square. This achievement celebrates every folk artist rising through sheer talent and authentic art. I am deeply grateful to all the fans tagging me in their comments and stories, and extending their wishes to Lahooti. Your support fuels our journey, as Lahooti has always been a platform challenging industry lobbies, nepotism, and established norms.

I aspire to see more folk artists flourish, sharing their magical art, culture, and music with the world. They possess incredible power, and I promise that Lahooti will continue to amplify these voices, especially those of women. We should also respect our artists, whether they are featured on such billboards or not; we shouldn’t be calculating their talent based on industry norms. - Saif Samejo, Founder Lahooti

"For us as artists, it is a beautiful feeling to interact with other fellow artists and interact with our fans. We do not make music based on what the "market" demands. As a non-commercial music entity, we have seen the attitude of labels who belittle your work and make you feel low." (Excerpt from Sounds of Soil)

Did you know: The first ever song Mai Dhai recorded with Lahooti was called Chir Mee, followed by her hit duet Mann Moriya with The Sketches.
